Famous for the quality of his cycling shorts, mostly made-to-measure, in the early sixties Emilio passed on the company to daughter Elda and son-in-law Ezio Coccia which rapidly expanded production capacity to satisfy the already growing demand for quality cyclewear. Son Mauro took over the company in mid- nineties and expanded sales internationally by keeping the same rigorous approach to quality and functionality of his predecessors.
Today the De Marchi mission hasn’t changed: design and create the best cycle clothing, period. Clothing that is extensively tested before being marketed thanks to the advice of both in-house and independent testers and professional riders. De Marchi is a brand concerned with meeting the needs of the everyday cyclist, not necessarily those of expensive pro teams. In Pursuing this goal, we developed an “Endorsed By You” philosophy, which holds that a superior product will sell itself better than any superstar athlete ever could.

To ensure the best quality in the world, we focus on improving our technology and production methods. A big part of that is maintaining manufacturing facilities here in Italy, where we continue to produce over 50% of our technical apparel that meet the standards we’ve employed for over 60 years.
