In 1990, whilst on a bike ride, Gary Erickson decided he could make a better energy bar than anything available at the time. He got to work in his mum’s kitchen and the Clif Bar was born. Since those days, Clif Bar & Company has grown to be the biggest selling energy bar in the US and to this day, Clif Bars still taste deliciously home baked.

Since the creation of the first original 'Clif Bar', the product range has grown and now has 'Builders Bars' designed to provide protein and 'Luna Bars', specifically designed for female nutrition. There is also the popular ' Clif Shot Electrolyte' range of energy products in the form of chews, gels and drinks.
